We Buy Cars Across Missouri

We serve sellers across Missouri.

From the Missouri River corridor to the Ozark Mountains, our vehicle buying service is available statewide. We purchase used and junk cars in large cities, small towns, and rural areas across the state.

Wherever a seller is located, we can arrange pickup at that location. That includes properties near the Mississippi River as well as communities farther inland, with coverage that extends throughout Missouri.

3 Easy Steps for Selling Your Car in Missouri

Call us to request an instant offer for your vehicle. We base the offer on the basic details you provide over the phone, such as the make, model, year, condition, and location. In most cases, we give the quote quickly, and there is no obligation to accept it.

Once you accept the offer, we schedule pickup at a time that works for you anywhere in Missouri. We provide free towing, and we can collect the vehicle from your home, workplace, roadside location, or repair facility. Our service covers the entire state, including urban areas, rural communities, and remote locations.

At pickup, we complete the final step of the sale and collect the vehicle. Payment is made at that time when the vehicle is picked up. This is when the transaction is finished.

Buying Used, Unwanted, or Non-Running Cars

Auto City Salvage buys vehicles from owners across Missouri in all kinds of situations. Some people have a car that no longer gets driven and has been sitting for months. Others are done putting time and money into an older vehicle that has become unreliable. We also hear from sellers who simply want to clear space and let go of a non running, worn, or damaged car they no longer need.

Life changes are often the reason a vehicle no longer fits. A family outgrows a small car, someone stops driving, or a second vehicle becomes unnecessary after a move or job change. In other cases, the owner has replaced the vehicle and the old one is still parked at home, unused and taking up room. We buy from people who are ready to move on, whether the vehicle still runs or has been sitting long enough to collect dust and dead leaves.

Some sellers want a simple sale without putting more effort into a car they are finished with. That includes vehicles with cosmetic damage, cars that have been through years of daily use, and ones that have not been started in a while. We work with owners throughout Missouri who want a direct way to sell a vehicle that no longer serves a purpose and deserves a clear next step.

Vehicle Categories We Purchase Across Missouri

At Auto City Salvage, we buy a broad range of vehicles for cash across Missouri, with a focus on the kinds of vehicles people actually use in daily life. That includes personal transportation like sedans, compact cars, hatchbacks, coupes, and convertibles, as well as larger family vehicles such as SUVs, crossovers, minivans, and station wagons. We also purchase work and utility vehicles that serve practical needs, including pickup trucks, cargo vans, passenger vans, and other vehicles used for hauling, commuting, or regular job site travel. Some sellers contact us with smaller cars built for simple everyday driving, while others have larger vehicles designed for family use, business use, or mixed personal and work use. We handle common vehicle categories in a straightforward way, whether the vehicle is a daily driver, a second household vehicle, a light duty truck, or a van used for deliveries or transport. Our service covers the full spread of vehicle types seen on Missouri roads, from basic commuter cars to larger multi purpose vehicles and pickups used for routine household or job related tasks.

What Determines Junk Car Value in Missouri

In Missouri, the value of a junk car depends on the vehicle itself and on market conditions at the time of sale. A newer car with less damage often brings more than an older one that has been sitting for years. The type of vehicle also matters. A truck, van, or larger SUV usually has more metal and more weight, which can raise the offer. If the engine, transmission, or other major parts still have use, that also affects what the vehicle is worth.

Scrap prices play a direct role because buyers look at what the metal in the vehicle is worth when it is processed. Part demand also changes the value. Some models have components that are harder to find, so a damaged car with usable parts can be worth more than a similar vehicle with little salvageable material. Weight matters for the same reason, since heavier vehicles generally contain more scrap metal. Overall condition still shapes the final number, because missing parts, severe collision damage, and long term exposure usually reduce the amount a buyer offers.

Replacing a Lost or Damaged Vehicle Title in Missouri

In Missouri, a duplicate title is issued by the Missouri Department of Revenue when the original vehicle title is lost, stolen, mutilated, or destroyed. The vehicle owner must complete an Application for Missouri Title and License, Form 108, and mark that the request is for a duplicate title. The applicant must provide the required owner and vehicle information, sign the form, and pay the duplicate title fee and processing fee. If there is a lien on the vehicle, the lien information must be shown on the application.

Complete Form 108, Application for Missouri Title and License. Enter the owner name, vehicle identification number, and other required vehicle details. Check the box or section for a duplicate title request, and sign the application.

Submit the completed form to a Missouri license office or mail it to the Missouri Department of Revenue with the required fees. Include the duplicate title fee of $8.50 and the $6 processing fee. If the title is mutilated and still available, surrender it with the application.

Receive the duplicate title from the Missouri Department of Revenue after the application is processed. If the application is mailed, send it to the Motor Vehicle Bureau, 301 West High Street, Room 370, Jefferson City, MO 65105 0100.

Missouri Title Transfer & Signing Requirements

Signing over a vehicle title in Missouri means the seller completes the assignment section on the title and gives the buyer the documents needed to register the car. The seller and buyer should review the title carefully before writing anything. Use the legal names shown on the title, write clearly, and make sure all required spaces are completed exactly where indicated.

First, the seller should look at the front and back of the Missouri title and confirm the information is correct. Check the vehicle identification number, year, make, and the seller names printed on the title. If more than one owner is listed, each seller named on the title should sign as required by the ownership wording shown on the title.

Next, complete the seller assignment section of the title. Enter the buyer name and address, the sale date, and the odometer reading if the title includes an odometer disclosure area. The seller should sign exactly as the name appears on the title, and the buyer should sign any section on the title that requires the buyer signature.

Then give the signed title to the buyer along with any lien release if a lien was recorded and has been paid off. Remove the license plates unless Missouri instructions for that plate type say otherwise. The buyer then uses the signed title and related documents to apply for title and registration with the state.
